Google PageSpeed Insights
About Our Performance Monitoring
We use Google PageSpeed Insights to monitor and improve our website's performance. This tool provides lab data and optimization suggestions from Google's Lighthouse.
Core Web Vitals
The metrics shown above include Core Web Vitals such as Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Contentful Paint (FCP), Total Blocking Time (TBT), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
Direct API Access
Our performance dashboard makes API requests directly from your browser to Google's PageSpeed API. This approach avoids serverless function timeouts and provides a more reliable experience.
Local Caching
Results are cached in your browser's local storage for 24 hours to minimize API calls and provide faster access to performance data. If the API is unavailable, you'll see the most recently cached data.
Other Important Metrics
- First Input Delay (FID): Measures interactivity. To provide a good user experience, pages should have a FID of 100 milliseconds or less.
- Speed Index (SI): Measures how quickly content is visually displayed during page load.
Privacy First
Our analytics implementation respects user privacy. We don't collect personally identifiable information, and all data is anonymized. We use this information solely to improve your experience on our website.
